The Filipino-American Youth Basketball Association (FYBA) of Metropolitan Washington invites local area businesses and individuals to support FYBA’s programs through sponsorship.
FYBA is run by a group of dedicated volunteers/parents, providing full development of the youth through basketball. Established in September 2007, it is a non-profit organization with a year-long program of activities that includes basketball clinics, tournaments, referees and coaches’ training and social skills development.
In our recently concluded 2015 Spring-Summer league, more than 250 kids (ages 4 to 17) joined with an additional 300 adults for the Adult League.
A major activity that FYBA actively participates annually is the fiercely competitive North America Basketball Association tournament held within member cities on a rotational basis every year during the Labor Day weekend in September.
NABA, as it is commonly called, is a 2-day basketball tournament participated in by selected member cities in the US and Canada. It is organized by Divisions of various age groups starting as young as 8 years old.
This year’s tournament will be huge with 24 cities participating and to be held in Windsor, Canada on September 4 to 6.
FYBA will be fielding a complete lineup in all the age divisions. A total of nearly 150 players is expected to represent the Washington DC area.
As a non-profit organization, FYBA is seeking partnerships with various businesses, school organizations and private individuals to help defray the cost of its NABA participation.
Sponsorship is as follows:
· Major Sponsor – $500 – Business name will be printed on the team’s jerseys; Business name will be advertised in FYBA website
· Minor Sponsor – $100 – Business name will be printed on the FYBA NABA 2015 shirt; business name will be advertised in FYBA website.
