Jordan Bartlett Brings Skills To UAAP

Jordan Bartlett

Our entire FYBA community is so proud of Jordan Bartlett’s recent announcement that he will play college basketball for the National University (NU) Bulldogs in the Philippines.

NU, the 2014 University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Champion, is a rising basketball program; they defeated powerhouse Ateneo de Manila just the other day.

No doubt that the addition of Jordan, an NCAA Division-1 bound point guard, will make the Bulldogs even stronger next season.

Jordan, his sister Christa (a basketball phenom in her own right), and his parents Glad and Jason have been one of the cornerstone families of FYBA since its founding in 2008.

Jordan, who has participated in our house league every season since he was 11 years old, was a member of seven Washington DC North American Basketball Association (NABA) Teams, leading the DC Juvi Team to the Championship in 2014 and the Runner-up in 2016.

Jordan had a breakout Spring/Summer of 2016 playing for our FYBA Select Team; averaging 30 points per game against top AAU competition, including a 53 point outburst in March at Spooky Nook.

He was invited to play for Team Philippines at the World Basketball Ambassadors Club (WBAC) Showcases over the summer where he dropped 47 and 41 points, the latter performance at the famed Rucker Park in New York.

Jordan was also named Most Valuable Player in the WBAC All-Star game, which wrapped up its summer showcase season.

Jordan’s FYBA coaches over the years, including Coach Cesar Conda, Coach Lex Concepcion, Coach John Miranda, Coach Aldrin Jose, Coach Romel Simon, Coach Todd Lancaster,  are all extremely proud of Jordan.

We’ve watched him grow up from a skinny 11 year old kid into an amazing basketball player, and more importantly, a fine young gentleman.  Jordan is an inspiration to our younger FYBA players by showing they too can achieve their goals through hard work and dedication.

Congratulations Jordan Bartlett and best wishes on your new journey in the Philippines!
